Royal De Heus
An international family business in animal nutrition, with production processes in which formulations and ERP data must be reliably aligned.
De Heus began on 28 April 1911 in Barneveld as Grain and Flour Trading H.A. de Heus. From the grain and flour trade, the company developed into a producer of animal feed, with increasing attention to production capacity, storage and bulk transport.
Acquisitions and international expansion took the company into new markets. The acquisitions of Brokking and Koudijs-Wouda in the 1990s were important steps in this. On its centenary in 2011, De Heus was granted the predicate 'Royal'.
For a new factory, I worked on the integration between Microsoft Dynamics AX and BestMIX. In addition to implementing connections, it involved a repeatable development approach, error handling, message archiving and handover to internal staff.
